On November 20, 2015, we visited several Applied Science laboratories at the University of British Columbia. This allowed our members to learn more about the practical and developing aspects of the world of physics. Also, this was a great opportunity for the students to see the frontiers of our knowledge and the quests that are happening in order to expand the borders. Our laboratory tours were at the Advanced Material and Process Engineering Laboratory and the Institute for Computing, Information, and Cognitive Systems buildings. During the day, many educated researchers and professors such as Dr. Croft, Dr. Salcudean, and Dr. Nasiopoulos gave demonstrations of their research labs and discussed their ongoing projects with the students.
