2015 Physics OlympicsThe Physics Olympics is a competitions hosted annually by UBC in which many teams from high school across BC come to compete in. There are 6 events which focus on the various aspects of physics such as Fermi questions or hands-on labs based on fundamental physics concepts like electricity and magnetism. As the 2015 competitions were Carson's first year the team gained valuable experiences on aspects such as the format of the events. This experience will hopefully allow our team to compete more effectively and with a clearer understanding of the events.

Physics TutorialThe tutorial program started in when many of our fellow physicists wanted to move ahead of the school curriculum in order to finish it before the Physics Olympics competitions and be more prepared for the challenges that they will be facing. Once we started teaching the extra-curricular material, we got requests from students to help them prepare for an upcoming test or explain any parts of the course that they felt they needed a better understanding of. Therefore, from there we decided to setup review and practice sessions for students before most of the school exams.
